Cookie policy — what actually gets stored
A straight rundown of the cookies this site uses, why they're there, and how to switch them off. Last updated January 2026.
What a cookie actually is
A small text file your browser keeps, so a site can remember things — like whether you already dismissed a banner or what language you prefer.
- They can't run code, carry viruses or read your files
- First-party = set by us; third-party = set by tools we embed
- You can clear or block all of them in your browser settings
Three categories, all of them boring
We don't run ads, so there's no advertising or retargeting cookies here at all.
Strictly necessary
Remember your cookie choice and keep the booking form behaving. The site breaks without these — they can't be declined.
Always onAnalytics
Anonymous counts of page visits so we know which trips people care about. No names, no cross-site tracking.
OptionalPreferences
Small quality-of-life bits — like remembering you've seen the cookie banner already.
OptionalThe embeds that set their own
Two external tools on this site can set cookies. Here's who they are and what they do.
Google Maps
The map on our contacts page may set location and preference cookies — that's Google's side of the fence.
Analytics provider
Our stats tool sets an anonymous visitor ID so returning visits count correctly. It's off entirely if you decline the banner.
Turn them off in under a minute
Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies. Quick links for the big four:
Chrome
Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → block or clear.
Safari
Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data, or tick "Block all cookies".
Firefox
Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection → Strict.
Edge
Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
When this policy changes
If we ever add a new cookie type, this page updates first — and the banner will ask you again rather than assuming.
- Version date always at the top of this page
- New cookie categories trigger a fresh consent ask
- Declining never blocks you from the site
